Cairo Airport Company is in the final stages of appointing a consultant to develop three retail design options for terminal two

Cairo airport owner Cairo Airport Company (CAC) is in the final stages of appointing a consultant to oversee a complete retail overhaul at Cairo International airport terminal two. The consultant will propose three different concepts from which CAC will select the winning design.

CAC chief commercial officer Jean-Pierre Tabet told Ravenfox.com: “We assume that we will need three years to complete the initiative. As part of the this project we will re-design the whole retail environment and we want to add shops as well as food and beverage areas.”

The current T2 retail offer comprises eight units totalling 718sq m (1,915sq ft) operated by EgyptAir Tax Free shops, advised by Aer Rianta International-Middle East (ARI-ME), while 250sq m (2,690sq ft) is devoted to other retailers.
