Cyprus airport group chairman Nicolas Shacolas contributes to the fund for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Dublin

Larnaca and Paphos airport authority CTC-ARI’s chairman Nicolas Shacolas has pledged €5,000 to the DFNI Charity Ball in aid of Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Dublin. Shacolas’ donation is the latest of several high-value pledges to the charity drive, including several from the various divisions of Aer Rianta International.

Several other companies have lent their support to the Ball, which will be held on February 29 at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel in London. The Patrón Spirits Co has donated a bottle of Gran Patrón Burdeos tequila signed by actor Dan Ackroyd and is also sponsoring the cocktail bar at the reception. Retail operator DFS Group has pledged a $2,500 cash donation, while beauty supplier Estée Lauder Companies has donated an Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv product basket worth £1,600. Leathergoods company Texier has contributed over £1,000 in handbags to the Ball and the Hot Diamonds Group has donated jewellery of the same value from the Pure Limited Edition range. P&G Prestige Products, P&O Ferries and Diageo have also taken tables at the event.

The DFNI Global Awards for Travel-Retail Excellence, sponsored by Patrón, will take place on the same night. Nominated companies include DFS Group, Dubai Duty Free and Gebr Heinemann. Click here to see the full list of shortlisted companies.
