The winner of the “Amazing Days—Royal Ascot” promotion will receive a luxury trip to the Royal Ascot race in June with three friends

Airport retailer CTC-ARI and liquor supplier William Grant & Sons have announced the winner of the joint promotion “Amazing Days—Royal Ascot”. The initiative is part of CTC-ARI’s “Amazing Days at the Airport” marketing campaign, launched in February. For every €35 ($51) travellers spend at Larnaca airport’s retail or food and beverage outlets, they will receive one ticket for the chance to win the grand prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas.

The Royal Ascot promotion was developed by William Grant to run in parallel with the retailer’s campaign. With every purchase of a product from the supplier, customers received an entry ticket. The winner, Wayne Reed of Paphos, will embark on a trip for four people to England’s most traditional horse race including Rolls Royce pick-up from London Heathrow airport, five-star accommodation in Henley-on-Thames, a trip to the Windsor race, morning dress hire for the men and new outfits for the ladies, attending Royal Ascot as VIP guests in the William Grant & Sons private box and an additional £2,000 ($3,935) spending money. According to CTC-ARI, the increase in sales during the promotion was “excellent”.

CTC-ARI general manager Gerry Crawford said: “We are delighted by the uptake on this promotion and sales uplift for the William Grant portfolio and indebted for the interest it generated for the Amazing Days promotion campaign. More excitement is on the way with the grand prize draw for Viva Las Vegas, scheduled for May 26.”
