Changi Airports International (CAI), a subsidiary of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), has signed an agreement to develop a master plan for King Hussein International airport at Aqaba in Jordan. It will also provide a range of consultancy services including an inventory and data collection on the state of the airports current facilities.
The news comes as CAI CEO Chow Kok Fong revealed the divisions aspirations to grow its operational presence in the UAE, following its consultancy contract at Abu Dhabi International airport. Chow said: We provided the master planning and consultancy work for the new Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC). The development of the MTC is expected to cost $6bn and we are hoping for a role in its operation when it is eventually completed.
