The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has issued the long-awaited tender for the fragrances and cosmetics concession at Singapore Changi airport

The long-awaited tender for the fragrances and cosmetics concession at Singapore Changi airport, which will cover all terminals, was finally launched by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) today. The contract will cover space at terminals one, 2 and 3 and the budget terminal.

The concession contract is for three years and two months and will start in January/February 2008 or from the opening of terminal three.  There is also an option to extend the contract for a further two years subject to the agreement of the percentage of gross sales and minimum monthly guarantee payments.

A briefing for the tender will be held at 2.30pm on April 25 at the CAAS Conference room level 4 and the closing date is May 16 at 4pm.  DFNI understands incumbent Nuance-Watson (Singapore) will bid to defend its current operations at Changi and it is likely to face competition from DFS Ventures Singapore, King Power (Hong Kong), Dufry Group,  Aelia,  Aldeasa and Hotel Lotte.
