The new company formed through the merger of Stena Line and Scandlines has completed a revamp of its purchasing operations. Stena Line's onboard services department, based in Ashford, UK, closed at the end of December.

With the closing of the Ashford office, a number of senior executives, including Stuart Rourke and Andy Butcher left the company late last month.

Butcher has joined the purchasing team at Hoverspeed while other members of the onboard services team are looking for new opportunities in the industry.
Meanwhile, more buying and retail responsibility has been handed to the individual port-based operations of the company.

Further details will appear in the February 1 issue of DFNI.
