Thomas Bucher will take over from Guy Dubois as chief financial officer at Gate Gourmet's parent company
Thomas Bucher has been named chief financial officer of inflight services provider gategroup, which includes Gate Gourmet and 10 other brands. Bucher will begin his new role on May 1 and be based in Zürich, where he will take over from newly-appointed gategroup president Guy Dubois.
Reporting to Dubois, Bucher will oversee global financial activity for the group and will also deal with mergers, acquisitions and investor relations. A former chief financial officer for Ciba Speciality Chemicals’ Europe, Middle East and African division, he has been with the company for 16 years.
Incoming gategroup president Guy Dubois said: “I am delighted that gategroup has attracted a candidate of Thomas’ calibre. His in-depth personal experience in a multinational company will serve us well as gategroup continues the integration of recent acquisitions. We welcome his talent and expertise.”
