Brussels airport retail revenue up 5.7%

The Belgian airport reports retail gains above traffic growth for the first half of 2007

Macquarie Airports-owned Brussels International airport has posted a 13.7% jump in half yearly earnings after increased traffic and revenue growth in its aeronautical and retail divisions.

 

Brussels airport reported EBITDA of €92.6m ($127.3m), up from €81.4m for the corresponding period last year. The growth was driven by a 5.4% rise in aeronautical revenue to €114m ($156.7m) and a 5.7% gain in retail revenue to €19.1m ($26.3m).

 

The airport recorded traffic growth of 3.5% for the first half last year.
