The group is to introduce its Havanna coffee bar concept to the airport following a successful opening in downtown Asunción

Bright Star Group, the owner of Paraguayan duty-free retailer Bright Star Duty Free, is to enter the airport food & beverage business with the launch of its Havanna coffee shop at Asunción Silvio Petirossi airport.

After a successful launch in downtown Asunción the group plans to open a 180sq m (1,937sq ft) airside outlet at the international airport later this month. Havanna is one of Argentina's leading speciality confectionery brands and has had a successful rollout in travel-retail throughout the Mercosur region.

Bright Star Group regional director Francisco Brizuela told RavenFox.com: "We are delighted to be opening the new outlet after the launch of our flagship outlet in the Paraguayan capital. We will be offering a number of catering options for passengers and we will be able to offer extra space to show the Havanna product range we have in the duty-free outlet. We are also looking at other opportunities in neighbouring countries. "
