Brennan to address inaugural Macau event

The DFS Group president and CEO will be a keynote speaker at the Raven Fox-organised Asia/Pacific Travel Partnership Symposium, to be held in Macau on September 17-19

The Symposium, organised by Raven Fox in collaboration with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and supported by the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA), will be held on September 17-19 in Macau at the new signature resort by Steve Wynn, which opens in August.

In his presentation, entitled The Retailer-Resort Dynamic, Brennan will address the Symposium's theme Optimising the Travelling Consumer Experience, and provide an insight into DFS' developing partnership with the Las Vegas Sands Corp. The relationship is a striking example of the way in which travel retailers and casino/hotel/resort developers are shaping the landscape of Macau as it fast becomes the gaming and entertainment capital of Asia/Pacific.

The Symposium will be the first industry event to explore the partnership between all parties in the chain serving travelling consumers. Delegates will gain an enhanced understanding of how tour operators, hoteliers and retailers can work together to drive sales in their respective businesses by improving and fine-tuning the offer to consumers.

With an emphasis on information sharing, the event programme features internet booking companies, tour operators, airports, airport retailers, brand owners, hoteliers, cruiselines, airlines and national tourism organisations.
