Brennan gets new LVMH role

Ed Brennan, currently president and ceo of DFS Group is to succeed Myron Ullman III as chairman of DFS, the world's leading travel retailer. LVMH Group managing director Ullman announced the appointment effective January 1. Brennan will also join the LVMH Executive Committee with responsibility for all LVMH Group's travel retail operations.

"We are very pleased to formally recognise Ed Brennan's responsibilities at DFS and LVMH with these promotions," said Ullman, who will continue to serve on the DFS Board of Directors. "In the past two years, DFS Group has returned to profitable growth thanks in large part to Ed's leadership, expertise and energy."

"Ed has played an integral role in bringing Miami Cruiseline Services into the LVMH fold after the acquisition a year ago," continued Ullman. "With Ed at the helm we are confident that DFS Group and Miami Cruiseline Services will achieve even greater success."

  • Ed Brennan joined DFS Group in 1997 as executive vice president merchandising and operations for the Hawaii region after a 16-year career at R H Macy & Co and Federated Department Stores. He is keynote speaker at the Global Travel Retail Summit to be held in June.
