Olivier Bottrie has been promoted to president travel retailing worldwide at Estée Lauder Companies

Olivier Bottrie has assumed a new role as president travel retailing worldwide at Estée Lauder Companies. He was promoted on July 1 and continues to report to international group president Cedric Prouvé.

Bottrie has been senior-vice president and general manager of the travel retailing division since 2004, managing brands including Estée Lauder, Clinique, Aramis, Origins, Tommy Hilfiger, Mac, Donna Karan, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, Jo Malone, Sean John and Tom Ford in over 130 duty-free markets and more than 1,000 outlets worldwide. He also supervises The Estée Lauder Companies’ in-market businesses in Central America from Guatemala south, as well as in Colombia.

Prouvé said: “Travel retailing is one of our company’s most complex and dynamic businesses. Olivier has managed this vast division to impressive growth, overseeing the expansion of our brand portfolio and an increase in our market share. As airports grow and increase in numbers, airlines boost capacity and consumers travel in ever-growing numbers, he has built solid relationships with our travel retailing partners at the highest levels. His skill and experience will continue to be great assets to our company.”

Before assuming his current role, Bottrie was regional vice -president, field sales northeast, for Estée Lauder USA, supervising the brand’s major retail accounts. Before that, he spent a year as vice-president and general manager for the international division of Aramis and Designer Fragrances and prior to that served as vice-president and general manager for the Americas region of the company’s travel retailing division since 1997. He joined the company from Yves Saint Laurent Beauté in 1996.
