Hugo Boss is to move into the fashion jewellery sector with Swarovski, building on recent growth in its fashion accessories business
Hugo Boss has awarded Swarovski a six-year exclusive licence to develop fashion jewellery for the German fashion house. The licence, which commenced on March 1, covers the manufacture and worldwide distribution of Boss fashion jewellery corresponding to the individual Boss lines.
The company said in a statement: There will be elegant pieces from Boss Black, eclectic looks from Boss Orange and luxury cufflinks from the Boss Selection mens line.
The first jewellery collection for Boss Black and Boss Orange will be presented in spring 2008, and made available worldwide starting in July 2008.
Hugo Boss chairman Bruno Sälzer said: Accessories are a key growth segment for Hugo Boss, one we have been focusing on and consistently expanding for several years. Extending our product portfolio to include exclusive fashion jewellery represents a logical next step.
Swarovski board member Daniel Cohen said: Building on our competence in fashion jewellery, we will be creating exclusive collections reflecting the identity and signature design of the individual Boss fashion lines. In this respect we are looking forward enthusiastically to a long-term partnership with Hugo Boss.
