The electronics and photographic equipment retailer looks to strengthen its position at Singapore Changi airport

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore's recent tender for the photographic equipment concession at Singapore Changi terminal two has attracted just one bidder, incumbent Boon & Co. The company, which currently operates three outlets at T2 and one at terminal one, offered a choice between a percentage of monthly sales or a staggered minimum monthly guarantee.

Boon & Co offered 12% of gross monthly sales, or a minimum monthly guarantee of S$90,000 ($56,984) on sales of S$800,000 ($506,496) or less; S$135,000 ($85,471) on sales of between S$800,000 and S$1m ($633,120); and S$185,000 ($117,127) on sales of more than S$1m.

The three-year contract at T2's departures/transit hall will run from September this year.
