The first India Duty Free Workshop, to be held at the Le Meridien hotel in Cochin on February 21-23, has attracted a strong line-up of speakers providing expert insight into one of the world's most promising travel-retail markets. The event, coordinated by retailer Alpha Asia and backed by fellow operators India Tourism Development Corp (ITDC) and Flemingo International, has attracted well over 100 delegates plus sponsorship from many leading suppliers.

Among confirmed speakers at the event are Cochin International Airport Ltd managing director VJ Kurian, Deccan Air managing director GR Gopinath, King Power Group managing director travel-retail Sunil Tuli and Hyderabad International Airport CEO T Srinagesh. Alpha Asia managing director Paul Topping, ITDC vice-president NK Piplani and Flemingo director Atul Ahuja will feature in a retailer panel—titled the Awesome Threesome—discussing the potential of the Indian duty-free market.
