This year's event has attracted interest from around 100 of the regional trade's leading retailers, suppliers and landlords so far
To date, about 100 delegates have registered to attend this year's ASUTIL conference, to be held in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil on September 8-10.
The event is co-organised by South American trade association ASUTIL and DFNI extra publisher Raven Fox.
Companies interested in attending are urged to register and book their hotel rooms before August 13. After this date rooms cannot be guaranteed for delegates.
All the leading retailers in the region will speak at the event, as will senior executives from airport authorities Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 and Infraero of Brazil.
The crucial issue of tobacco's status in South American duty-free will be addressed in a special session led by Keith Spinks, director-general of the European Travel Retail Council (formerly the International Travel Retail Confederation).
Companies already registered include: Aldeasa, Allied Domecq, Bacardi, Brasif Duty Free Shop, Bright Star Duty Free, Camus International, Diageo, Dufry America, Duty Free Americas, Elizabeth Arden, Estée Lauder, Guerlain, Habanos, Interbaires, IOSC, Kenzo Parfums, London Supply, Parbel, Philip Morris, Shiseido, Underberg and Zeinal Hermanos.
Among the companies who will exhibit their products at the event's trade market are Destileria Porfidio and Distilleria Bottega.
