Jean-Charles Seite has been appointed to succeed Stephane Beraud as vice president and general manager travel retailing Europe/Middle East/Africa
The Estée Lauder Companies vice-president and general manager travel retailing Europe/Middle East/Africa Stephane Beraud is to leave the company at the end of June.
He is to depart from the business to pursue other interests outside of the company and will be succeeded by vice-president Darphin Laboratories Jean-Charles Seite on July 1. Seite will be based in London.
Senior vice president and general manager travel retailing worldwide Olivier Bottrie commented: "Stephane has guided the division through what have been some of the most challenging times for the travel retailing industry following the events of September 11, the war in Iraq and the SARS crisis. Stephane's dedication and loyalty have contributed greatly to the success of his region during these difficult times in what is a highly competitive market. We thank Stephane for the contribution he has made to the success of our brands and wish him and his family the very best for the future."
Seite joined Lauder in 1997 as representative director and general manager of the company's Korean affiliate. In 2000 he was appointed general manager Clinique for its Japanese affiliate and in 2003 he assumed his current role. Before joining Lauder he gained over 14 years' experience in the cosmetics industry based in Europe and Asia/Pacific.
Bottrie said: "Jean-Charles brings 25 years of expertise in general management, marketing, sales and logistics to his new role. He is highly familiar with the travel retaling sector, in particular the Europe/Middle East/Africa region."
