Former head of Hennessy's duty-free business Michael Beamish joins the group's regional management in time for a return to TFWA Asia Pacific

Former Hennessy global duty-free director Michael Beamish is returning to the duty-free trade as Camus commercial director Asia/Pacific, based in Hong Kong.

Camus global commercial director Clive Carpenter confirmed the appointment to RavenFox.com. Most recently Beamish held the position of sales director Asia/Pacific for the US wine company E&J Gallo, based in Tokyo.

Beamish told RavenFox.com that after 20 years with Hennessy and four with Gallo, he was delighted to be back in the cognac business and in Hong Kong. "It is exciting and satisfying to join such a dynamic team in a creative and flexible company, and to be based in such a vibrant city as Hong Kong overseeing the most challenging and promising region in the world."

While duty-free is a big part of Camus' business in Asia, Beamish's brief also includes some domestic markets, he added. Beamish will be in Singapore for TFWA Asia Pacific, where Camus is exhibiting at booth HS16.
