The liquor supplier has set up a new travel-retail department to allow it to place "much greater focus" on the market

Bacardi-Martini has created a new stand-alone unit for its travel-retail business, effective from this month.

Commenting on the initiative, the new division's managing director Maurice Doyle said: "Travel-retail is a key priority for Bacardi, and we are excited to announce a new organisation for this channel. Recognising the importance of this channel to our portfolio of premium and super-premium brands, Bacardi has created a new stand-alone business unit for global travel-retail.

"This new unit will build on the good work done by our team in the travel-retail sector, but will allow much greater focus to work with our business partners to mutual advantage."
