BAT restructures UK and Canadian operations

British American Tobacco has announced major restructuring to its businesses in Britain and Canada, affecting jobs in both countries. Disappointing sales performance and changes in production have prompted the restructuring, expected to result in savings of £65m ($108m) by 2005.
