The website offers advice to travellers on what to buy at London Heathrow airport during the holiday season

UK airport company BAA has launched an online gift guide to advise passengers on what to buy at London Heathrow airport during the holiday season. Customers can create up to six personal gift lists on www.heathrowgiftlist.com for free, choosing from 170 products divided in categories such as For Him, For Her, For Kids and Gadget Lovers.

Travellers who register a gift list on the website will also have the offer to reserve the products of their choosing and collect their items before boarding their flights free of charge. Undecided customers can email info@heathrowgiftlist.com with any questions they might have about the products on offer, and answers will be posted anonymously on the website to help other gift buyers. Every list created on the new website will be entered into a prize draw offering four users the chance to win their list up to the value of £2,500 ($4,150).

BAA marketing and insight director Nick Adderley said: “We all look forward to Christmas but for many of us, the build-up to the big day is nothing short of stressful. For those wanting to take advantage of airport prices over the festive season, the Heathrow gift list is an invaluable online tool that is not only designed to make present buying simple and straightforward but can help provide inspiration—or a point in the right direction—for those stuck on what to get their loved ones.

“As well as Shop & Collect, which enables passengers wanting to travel light to pick up their purchases after their trip, we are thrilled to be offering the new Reserve & Collect service exclusively to gift list users,” he added. “If successful, we plan to roll this out across all Heathrow’s terminals in the new year.”
