Airports Council International (ACI) Europe has warned that airports are facing the renewed threat of insufficient insurance cover and the withdrawal of vital government assistance

BAA today announced that it will be working with UK publisher The National Magazine Co to launch a consumer magazine for BAA's retail loyalty programme WorldPoints in November 2002.

Called Emporium, BAA said the publication will have strong news values and appeal to BAA's affluent frequent flyers. The launch issue will cover fashion, beauty and grooming, food and drink, entertaining, technology, accessories and Christmas gifts.

BAA retail director UK airports Colin Hargave commented: "Emporium will be read by over 120,000 of BAA's most affluent customers who travel regularly through our airports. The magazine will inform them of the great range of retail brands and tax-free savings at the airport, and how they can make the most of them."
