BAA appoints Jezard as retail marketing director

16-Sep-2005

The appointment will facilitate a more integrated approach to retail marketing for World Duty Free and BAA

UK airport authority BAA has promoted Sarah Jezard to the position of retail marketing director, adding responsibility for UK airport retail marketing to her World Duty Free (WDF) role. The moves marks a more integrated approach to the delivery of retail marketing and allows BAA to use its marketing expertise effectively across the whole retail organisation.

Jezard will report to WDF managing director Mark Riches, BAA managing director UK airport retailing Colin Hargrave and marketing and service innovation director Barbara Beckett.

Jezard joined WDF as marketing director in February 2003 and in August assumed temporary responsibility as BAA Retail marketing director, responsible for all marketing activity across its seven UK airports.

Jezard will oversee a team that works on all aspects of airport marketing activity, developing the business and communication programme to support over 725 retail outlets, including 67 WDF and 130 bars and restaurants.

Jezard's previous positions include WH Smith marketing development director and she has also held senior roles with Boots, including beauty category manager.
