BAA Retail appoints head of technology

Brian Woodhead transfers from BAA's fashion and accessories retailing section to steer the group's electronics and gifts category

BAA Retail has appointed Brian Woodhead as head of category, technology and entertainment.  The category includes overseeing toys, games, souvenirs, non-electrical and household products and includes continuing relationships with key retailers Dixons Tax Free, Harrods, WHSmith's and Alpha Retail.

Woodhead moves across from overseeing BAA's fashion and accessories retailing and has been with BAA retail for five years. Prior to that he worked for liquor company Diageo. BAA UK Airport Retail managing director Colin Hargrave said: ?Brian brings invaluable expertise of the business. We're at such a great advantage as he has a clear understanding o f the way our business works along with a wealth of experience of the key product areas. We're really looking forward to seeing Brian develop this category with some revolutionary initiatives not seen anywhere in the retail market before.?
