The airline has decided to offer an internet sales service after a successful six-month trial

UK airline British Airways (BA) has announced it will launch an online duty-free shopping service following a successful six-month trial, according to The Times newspaper. The internet version of the High Life Shop, which the carrier has been testing since September, will offer all the products available on board except for liquor and tobacco.

According to BA, items purchased online will be shipped to the customer’s home address. Retail business operations director Richard Cushing said the company will pay the value-added tax on internet purchases.
