Azevedo leaves Swarovski for new challenge

Veena Azevedo is leaving Swarovski after nine years to pursue a new, as yet unspecified, venture at the end of the year. The highly-rated Azevedo worked as agent for Swarovski's western European travel-retail business, more recently focussing on European airlines.
Swarovski vice-president travel-retail, Peter Zottl told travelretailworld.com: "Veena is a well-known and respected figure in our industry, and her contribution to our success substantial. We regret to see her leave, but wish her all the best in her new venture.
"We are glad to inform everyone that a smooth transition for all concerned airline customers of Swarovski has been assured."
