Autogrill, Italian catering giant and parent company of leading US airport retailer HMSHost, opened its first drugstore at Rome Fiumicino airport's domestic arrivals area last month.

The Drugstore outlet will cater to the need for rapid purchase of mass-market consumer goods such as snacks and food products, toiletries, newspapers, and gifts.

Autogrill said it has used the know-how acquired through HMSHost in the management of mass-market consumer products sold in US motorway service areas.
