The Italian company is keen to expand to new regions but does not plan any acquisitions in the near future

In an interview with La Repubblica newspaper, Autogrill chairman Gilberto Benetton said the Italian company is looking to extend its presence to new regions. He said Germany, Eastern Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia are potential targets for expansion.

Benetton explained that no further acquisitions were planned following the company’s takeover of World Duty Free and Aldeasa last week because Autogrill would need a couple of years to integrate the new acquisitions with the rest of the business. However, he said that the company would seize any opportunities that may arise.
