Aéroports de Paris (AdP) and Aelia joint venture Société de Distribution Aeroportuaire (SDA) is testing an arrivals concept at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CdG) airport. The 6 metre last-minute mobile unit is located in the baggage reclaim area of terminal 2F and sells duty-paid fragrances, liquors, wine, champagnes and confectionery. It is the first time that an arrivals concept has been tested at Paris CdG. The concept will be trialled until the end of the year with a view to roll-out to all the terminals at CdG and Orly airports if it proves successful.
Aéroports de Paris retail, marketing and communications director Pascal Bourgue said: The arrival shop boutique is meant for the 22,000 passengers who land in terminal 2F every day. Our clients browse around for about 10 minutes in the shop while waiting for their baggage to be delivered. Today, the most popular products are fragrances, the ideal last-minute presents.
