Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport general manager Serirat Prasutanond will be acting president from August 5

Airports of Thailand (AoT) has announced the resignation of president Chana U-sathaporn during a meeting of its board of directors on July 3. He will step down on August 5 due to health problems. U-sathaporn was appointed in September 2007 and was due to remain in the post until November 4 2011.

The AoT board of directors has appointed Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport general manager Serirat Prasutanond as acting president from August 5 until the appointment of a new president.
