Amsterdam traffic up 4.9% in September

Intercontinental travel drives steady growth at Amsterdam Schiphol

Amsterdam Schiphol airport welcomed over 4.1m passengers in September, an increase of 4.9%, according to provisional Schiphol Group figures.

Once again, intercontinental travel recorded the highest rise in passenger levels, growing by 8% last month. The number of passengers travelling to European destinations rose by 4%.

Over the past nine months passenger volume was up by 3.7% compared with the same period in 2004.
