Alpha Airports Group CEO Peter Williams will debate with Dufry CEO Julián Díaz at the inaugural European Travel Partnership Symposium

Alpha Airports Group CEO Peter Williams has pledged his firm support for the first-ever European Travel Partnership Symposium—to be held at the Maremagnum Conference Centre in Barcelona on June 27-29. Williams will join Dufry CEO Julián Díaz in what is guaranteed to be a heated and exciting debate among rival heads of industry.

Tourism Barcelona Director General Pere Duran will open proceedings with an insight into the tourism body’s successful partnership programme among travel service providers.

The Europe event is the second in the Travel Partnership series, which offer speaker line-ups not replicated in any other travel-retail forum. Global heads of travel-retail business will be joined on stage by decision-makers from travel service providers and tourism marketers, including airlines, online booking companies, hoteliers, tourist offices and associations and tour operators. In addressing the theme, Profit in Partnership: Building Consumer Confidence, all speakers will share their experience and views on how working with other travel service providers can build consumer confidence and brand equity in an increasingly insecure industry.

Other confirmed speakers include: Jean-Paul Bonnel, CEO Europe, The Nuance Group; Philippe Rochat, Director Aviation Environment & ATAG, IATA: Etienne Pauchant, Director-General, Mediterranean Travel Association; Morton Binn, CEO, XpreSpa; Daniel Levecky, CEO, PureCommerce.com; Ian Cesa, President & CEO, Horizon Research Corporation; Thomas Sevcik, CEO, Artesia; Dr Grace Pan, Head, Leisure and Travel Research/Senior Manager Client Service, ACNielsen China; Nancy Cockerell, Director, Travel Business Partnership and Richard Timmis, Director, Category Insights.

The main Symposium will be preceded by two very different and innovative workshops, including a Private Workshop moderated by Dr Ian Cesa, President & CEO, Horizon Research Corporation and a Masterclass moderated by Aviation Health Director Farrol Kahn.

Space is limited at the Private Workshop because the programme is structured such that only one supplier from each product category may attend, together with one retailer and one airport. Meanwhile, the Masterclass will offer delegates an exclusive insight into one global travel retailer’s plans to integrate Healthy Flying products and services into its existing retail offer. The identity of the retailer will be revealed this week, and is not to be missed.
