Retailer to sell 60% stake acquired in 2004

Alpha Airports Group has announced it has agreed to sell the 60% stake it holds in Alpha IDF to its joint venture partner Istanbul Duty Free. The group originally acquired the majority shareholding in 2004 and since then Alpha IDF has bid for tenders in airport and border shops in Turkey without success.

A statement from Alpha claimed the decision follows “a strategic review” and thanked staff and partners for their support over the last three years.
