Alpha opens Biza store at Newcastle

The 1,000sq m (10,760sq ft) shop at Newcastle International is the first airport outlet to open under the new fascia
Alpha Group has opened its first airport store under the Biza Tax and Duty Free fascia at Newcastle International airport. The 1,000sq m (10,760sq ft) walk-through shop features boutique-style groups of products divided into “hubs”, each with a distinct visual identity. In-store display screens are also available to keep customers updated on flight timings.
The Biza concept at Newcastle airport also offers the Fly Home Happy service, in which the airport keeps purchases safe free of charge for passengers to collect when they return or offers free home delivery on spend of over £150 ($300) but costs £6.99 ($14) for purchases under that value.
Alpha Retail managing director Reg Curtis said: “When we created Biza our aim was to offer our customers an emotive, engaging and, above all, enjoyable shopping experience.
