Travellers at Belfast International airport can now take advantage of a Collect on Return facility launched by Alpha Retail last month. The free service allows departing domestic and international passengers to make their purchases and collect their goods when they return, without the inconvenience of carrying them for the duration of their journey. Alpha operates the Travel Value shops at Belfast.

The range of goods available includes: fragrances; skincare; cosmetics; watches; jewellery; confectionery; leather goods; luggage; audio and photographic goods, wine and selected spirits.

Alpha's UK marketing manager Avril Appleyard commented: "Research has shown that carrying bottles of wine or perfume is inconvenient and a barrier to shopping, especially if you are travelling to a business meeting, going on holiday or purchasing a gift. The Collect on Return service is designed to make shopping even easier for all passengers and I am sure it will become an invaluable asset to our shopping services."
