The Spanish retailer has designed a new company logo as it prepares to unveil 19 stores in Madrid Barajas' new terminal four, scheduled to open later this week

Spanish retailer Aldeasa has created a new corporate image in preparation for the opening of Madrid Barajas terminal four, where the company will operate Spain's biggest airport retail space at 8,000sq m (86,080sq ft). Aldeasa's nineteen stores in the new terminal will feature the new logo as part of a new shop design spanning several new concepts, including Thinking España, a destination merchandise store offering modern Spanish goods as well as arts and crafts.

Aldeasa has invested €20m ($24.1m) in its retail area in T4, which is now scheduled to open on Sunday (February 5). The company has taken on 203 extra staff at Barajas to enable its expansion. In total the operator will control 16,000sq m (172,160sq ft) of retail space across all Barajas' terminals. Its concession in T4 expires in 2012.

Other retailers to secure space in T4 are Spanish high street fashion specialists Mango and Zara, toy retailer Imaginarium and sports operator Estudio 2000 (DFNI December 1 2005).
