Spanish logistics firm Logista, owned by Aldeasa co-owner Altadis, has secured a deal to manage supply to the Spanish retailer's stores at Madrid Barajas airport

Spanish retailer Aldeasa has appointed logistics firm Logista to manage supply to its stores at Madrid Barajas airport. Logista, part-owned by Aldeasa co-owner Altadis, will develop a new logistics model designed to improve efficiency throughout Aldeasa's network of 60 stores at Barajas.

In a joint statement, Aldeasa and Logista said that the three-year deal, with a three-year option to extend, would allow the retailer to focus on commercial activities and customer care. Logista pledged to consolidate all orders from Aldeasa at Barajas in one daily delivery from its base at Cabanillas del Campo.
