The carrier is to seek a majority stakeholder for its retail subsidiary as the next step of its divestment process

Maltese flag carrier Air Malta is to sell a majority stake in subsidiary inflight concessionaire Air Supplies & Catering. The airline is seeking a buyer for 60% of its shares in the company, which also operates two outlets at Malta International airport.

The move is in line with Air Malta's strategy of divestment since the country joined the European Union in the second wave of accession last May. The airline recently announced that it would be concentrating its efforts on core business.
