The board of directors of Russia's largest airline Aeroflot has decided to create a joint venture with Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport to construct and manage the new Sheremetyevo 3 terminal, Aeroflot's deputy general director Anatoly Brylov said this week.

He said the new joint venture might be registered in May. It will be the company managing the 16,000sq m (172,160sq ft) commercial area, details of which were announced in March (TRW 17/03/02)

Brylov also said Aeroflot and Sheremetyevo have agreed on the size of their stakes in the JV, but provided no further details. The new Sheremetyevo 3 terminal is expected to be completed by 2005.
