Aeroboutique extends with Air France

20-Jun-2002

Aeroboutique Inflight Retail (AIR) has extended its contract to operate Air France's inflight programme

A new six-year contract begins on July 1. AIR managing director Pierre Freyssinet told TRW: "This extraordinary length of contract shows both Air France's and AIR's willingness to invest in the medium term and to build an outstanding programme."

Freyssinet also said that the carrier's inflight sales for 2001 increased by 5.5% although the airline stopped its inflight programme on intra-EU routes in mid-2000. He added: "If you compare 2001 with 2000 without these routes, sales increased by 22%."

AIR has also won the contract to operate inflight retail onboard L Air, a new charter airline.

  • Further details will appear in the July 1 issue of Duty-Free News International.
