The travel retailer has opened its first store at the Kosovan airport

Aer Rianta International (ARI) opened Prishtina airport's first duty-free shop yesterday (October 31) after winning the 10 year concession last month.

The shop will initially cover less than 100sq m (1,076sq ft) and will stock the core duty-free categories. ARI said that it is planning to expand the store in the future.

ARI director general Eamon Foley said: "That the shop is up and running on time demonstrates once again our effectiveness when starting up new business in previously untested locations."

Foley praised general manager Iain Forrest for his part in the opening, and thanked Prishtina airport for its support.
