The Irish flag carrier is changing its incentive programme in a bid to boost sales
Aer Lingus is to re-examine its onboard retail staff incentive scheme. At present the programme does not apply to flights that are only half full.
Crew sales manager Joe Harvey told RavenFox.com: "We are going to change the scheme next year to make it more worthwhile for crews to target flights that arent at full capacity. Perhaps well look at doing something that relates to spend per head."
Aer Lingus crews are paid 12% commission, among the highest on any airline. "The commission is worth paying because it motivates the team to work harder," said Harvey.
