The new cognac will be available only at the retailer’s stores at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Nice Côte d’Azur airports until the end of July

French travel retailer Aelia has launched the new ultra-premium cognac Hennessy Diptyque, a combination of two expressions of the brand. The product, featuring two 50cl bottles of contrasting flavours, will be available only at the operator’s stores at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Nice Côte d’Azur airports until the end of July, when it will be launched at Singapore Changi airport with DFS Group. Diptyque will be rolled out to other duty-free outlets in Europe at the end of August.

Aelia director of liquor, tobacco and fine foods Pascal Merle said: "Exclusive items and world-premiere launches are central to Aelia’s commercial strategy and once again we are delighted that one of our leading suppliers has supported us in this initiative. Hennessy remains a reference in the cognac sector; its appeal to Asian customers continues to grow and the brand has been consistently willing to innovate.

"With Diptyque, Hennessy has created an entirely new expression of the brand that will appeal both to connoisseurs and to those looking for a gift...With Hennessy Diptyque, we are not only matching the aspirations of the connoisseur, but also ensuring that regular visitors to our stores find something new and unique.”

Hennessy Diptyque has a recommended duty-free price of €340 ($540).
