Aelia completes Marseille airport retail renovation
New Schengen store follows the opening of the retailer’s largest French multi-category outlet at the airport in September
The opening of Aelias new Schengen multi-category outlet at Marseilles Provence airport last week marks the completion of the airports retail renovation project.
The new 111sq m (1194sq ft) store enjoys a central location in the departure lounge of the main terminal and offers all traditional product categories with the exception of tobacco. The new store will serve customers travelling to Marseilles key Schengen destinations including Germany and Spain, as well as domestic traffic en route to Corsica. The store brings to an end Aelias renovation project at the airport. Aelia also operates the duty-free concession at Marseilles low-cost MP2 terminal.
Aelia regional operations director Pascal le Droff said: The opening of the new store completes what has been an extremely exciting investment project for Aelia. The new Schengen store has a fantastic location and we are delighted with the support and encouragement we have received from Marseille Provence airport.
