The French travel retailer and Dutch airports group are the latest companies to contribute to the campaign led by the European Travel Retail Council

French retailer Aelia and Dutch airports operator Schiphol Group have added their support to the aviation security campaign being led by the European Travel Retail Council (ETRC) to minimise disruption from new security restrictions on carrying liquids through airports and on board airlines. Both companies have contributed Eu50,000 ($66,666) to the campaign.

Aelia president and CEO Michel Pérol said: “The ETRC is playing a vital role to ensure our industry’s voice is heard at the highest level of government in Europe. As one of the region’s leading operators, we too are determined to play our part. The ETRC can count on our support now and in the future.”

ETRC company secretary Barry Goddard confirmed the donations and said the council hoped to be able to announce further donations shortly.
