Aelia adds branded touch to Beauty Unlimited

The French retailer has added its first branded beauty corner to the revamped Beauty Unlimited store in Paris CdG terminal 2F1

French retailer Aelia has opened its first branded beauty corner as part of a drive to revamp its Beauty Unlimited retail concept. The travel retailer opened a new-look 220sq m (2,370sq ft) Beauty Unlimited store at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport terminal 2F1 last month, including a back wall offering fragrances, cosmetics and skincare from Christian Dior, Lancôme and Chanel. The move is a departure for the retailer, which until now has taken a generic approach to beauty retailing, dividing skus by sector rather than by brand.
 
"The new white back walls allow more light into the store and the new curves give the shop a feminine feel", said Aelia fragrances and cosmetics director Béatrice Delorme. The CdG initiative was adapted from the brand-driven beauty store opened by Aelia at London Luton airport in July 2005. Delorme said it was "likely" that a more branded approach would be installed in other Beauty Unlimited stores in Aelia's network.
