The new joint venture will manage 5,000sq m (53,800sq ft) of fashion and accessories retail space at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports

Airport authority Aéroports de Paris (AdP) has selected The Nuance Group as its partner to create a fashion and accessories joint venture. The new business, which will be similar to the Société de Distribuition Aéroportuaire partnership AdP has with Aelia, will operate 5,000sq m (53,800sq ft) of retail space dedicated to fashion and accessories at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports

The companies said in a statement that the new enterprise is another step in the development of AdP’s travel-retail strategy, singling out the fashion and accessories segment as the most dynamic categories after liquor, tobacco and fragrances. The company added that the joint venture—to be set up once it is approved by the competition authorities—will allow the partners to “pool their expertise in the fields of airport, retail and distribution in order to develop innovative concepts and to offer new brands around the theme ‘Parisian elegance and lifestyle’.”
