Niveen Ibrahim has been appointed as Abu Dhabi Duty Free general manager for duty-free operations after a management reshuffle
Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) has restructured its management team following the departure of ADDF deputy managing director Dan Cappell, who joined Aer Rianta International-Middle East as general manager of operations on June 18.
Niveen Ibrahim has been appointed as general manager for duty-free operations and Paul Haines has been employed as general manager for inflight catering operations. Both managers will report to ADDF managing director Mohamed Mounib.
Karen Fairman has also taken the position of merchandising and buying manager, James McLean has been employed as commercial manager and Richard Isaac has been appointed as retail and development manager. Angela Bothma will report to Ibrahim as the new assistant marketing manager, while financial advisor Shazeia Amer and project manager Issam Harb will also support the team.
The reorganisation of ADDF is designed to prepare the travel retailer for the expansion of Abu Dhabi International airport over the next four years. The retail space at the new airport is expected to be about 14,000sq m (150,640sq ft) when it opens in 2010.
