Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) has announced sales of $24.5m in the first quarter, an increase of 27.8% compared with the same period last year.

Local press reports claim that ADDF achieved a 43.7% increase in fragrance and cosmetics sales, while luxury goods rose by 63.9% and gold items by 31.5%. The gifts category achieved sales 76.7% higher than last year’s first quarter, while leathergoods also showed powerful growth of 76.9%. Liquor and tobacco grew by 14.6%.
