Abu Dhabi Duty Free seeks retail partners

The retailer is to take the unprecedented step of inviting tenders for some of its core categories at Abu Dhabi International airport

Abu Dhabi Duty Free has announced a request for proposals for certain aspects of its retail business. The company is seeking proposals for gold and jewellery, electronics, watches and books and magazines in terminals one and three It is also seeking concessionaires for fashion and leather, and watches and sunglasses in T3 only.

"We are pleased to announce that Abu Dhabi Duty Free will shortly be inviting interest from international and local retail operators who are keen to partner and continue building on the success and innovation that our travel retail environment offers," said Mohamed Mounib, Managing Director of ADDF.

An official announcement on the release date of the RFPs is set to be made soon.
